Preparation for Piercing Visit
It is also recommended that the client have eaten WITHIN 4 HOURS prior to receiving a piercing.
If these guidelines are not met, we reserve our right to decline service.
It is important whether this is your first piercing, or you have had several others, please follow these guidelines on how to prepare for receiving a new piercing at Pheenix.
EAT A FULL MEAL AND GET SUFFICIENT REST
You need to be at your healthiest when getting pierced as you’re literally preparing to be wounded and your body needs to be in the best shape in order to fight off infections and promote healing.
This means eating a full meal at least 4 hours beforehand, getting a GOOD sleep the night before and staying HYDRATED! All things recommended for your body to be in the best possible shape for any type of procedure.
If you woke up sick, and not feeling well, please cancel your appointment as this will lead to longer healing times, and possibly infecting staff, or other clients.
REMEMBER DON’T TAKE DRUGS, DRINK ALCOHOL, ENERGY OR HEAVILY CAFFEINATED DRINKS.
BEAR IN MIND piercing is not carried out on a person who seems to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Alcohol, energy drinks and lots of caffeine can thin the blood leading to the blood not clotting properly when getting pierced. This may lead to more bleeding than expected and other complications.
WEAR SOMETHING COMFORTABLE
Depending on the placement of the piercing you want to get, we recommend you wear something light that won’t irritate the fresh piercing. Even if your piercing may not interact with clothing, wear something comfortable that’ll help you stay calm and still while getting pierced.
AVOID MAKEUP ON PIERCING AREA
Any makeup that you wear in the area of the piercing, will be removed before the procedure. Never apply makeup to a piercing area as this could lead to an infection or slow the healing process.
We have a wide range of beautiful jewellery to choose from, and as many of our clients do not go for the basic jewellery, this will give you more time to choose what will suit your requirements. Remember you will have this piercing for a long time, and you will want it to be exactly what you want.
There is a consultation with you prior to the piercing about your individual anatomy. Many piercings require very specific anatomy to be performed successfully, so we ask you to come early and have that consultation to be sure we can do the exact piercing you want. So please come early enough to give yourself time to choose ideal jewellery and for the piercing consultation.
